Global Classroom Culture

SheKnows Parenting has a list of 10 great books that teach about diversity and cultural differences. This site includes ten different books that promote cultural diversity. Some of these books are stories and some are reference type books. The books touch on the differences of many different cultures including Muslim, Hispanic, and African America. Above are two of the books that are on the list. The Sandwich Swap by Queen Rania of Jordan Al Abdullah and Kelly DiPucchio is about two girls who divide over a sandwich but the story turns and they end up friends again. Bilingual Picture Dictionaries

I like this a lot! This will come in handy in the future.

Global Classroom Culture

Milet Picture Dictionary: English-Chinese by Sedat Turhan

Spanish-English Picture Dictionary by Catherine Bruzzone and  Louise Millar

These two are picture dictionaries that are in English and another language. These books would be nice for students learning another language. The good thing about these dictionaries is that they are bilingual and include pictures. The pictures will help students find what they are looking for and the duel languages will help students.

You can find these dictionaries at the websites below.
